SUMMER FUN
TAG...I'M IT!!!
TAG...I'm it.
OKay, it took me awhile to respond to my tag from Kara, because first...I didn't know really what to do, and second, well, I don't know if I can come up with 10 interesting things about myself. Oh well...here we go...I don't claim that these are interesting, but they are facts...
1. I live up to both of my last names perfectly. I am an excellent Baker (in my humble opinion) and I am always (w)right.
2. I wish I could be well-spoken. I can never think of clever or even intelligent things to say spur of the moment...I CAN however think of them later in the day, or perhaps later that week.
3. I love to make things...it's like therapy for me. Wood, paper, sometimes fabric...doesn't really matter, crafting is not only a hobby, but a stress-release.
4. I absolutey LOVE to read. It is a curse working at a library with so many books tempting me!!!!
5. My secret ambition in life is to write kids' books.
6. I have a thing for dish towels. I am always buying new ones...can't help myself.

7. I have a terrible memory. Having kids did that to me.
8. I am scared of most animals and terrified of large ones. Especially bears. If I ever see a bear in the woods, I will more likely have a heart attack than be eaten by it.
9. I love to shop...much to the disappointment of my husband...
10. I LOVE foot rubs. Not giving them...EW!!!! But receiving them.

Waiting....
It's hard not to feel like we've just been waiting for things for a LONG TIME now! Last year we waited and waited...finally moved in...now we're waiting again. Nothing really has begun on our house yet...so here we sit. It's very frustrating. But, in the meantime, we're trying to have fun...we've been to Waterton a few times...and we have plans for Calgary next week, then Whitefish, and Writing on Stone. Pete and I will have to go back to Calgary a couple times just to shop! Anyhow, here are a few pictures of our Waterton trip on sunday. We took my parents, and it was very beautiful weather...Ayden and Grandpa B talking rocks...
.
Brrr...cold water....
Skipping rocks...

One Year Ago
One year ago today...our house looked like this

We were renting a basement suite from a relative...not the BEST place to spend 7 months, but oh well. We had a nice backyard, and because it was a HOT summer, spent a lot of time outside!

Last summer, we also went to Koocanusa, with all of the Wrights...we had 2 houseboats...it was an amazing and relaxing trip...

And the only other things we did one year ago, was have our house drywalled,
and wait to start painting....
And the only reason to post the flashback to a year ago? Nothing much has happened yet this year...
