2 new discoveries

click here for a recipe for KALE CHIPS. yeah, that's right. there are a few variations...i added garlic salt, plus some soy sauce when i made them. i first saw this recipe on "the doctors". i've never even had kale before! advice? make sure they are really cooked! the chewier ones weren't as good as the crunchy ones!
secondly...spaghetti squash. i always SWORE that i would NEVER EVER use this squash as a substitute for pasta! however, in an effort to eat God-made foods...(at least part of the week)...i tried it! AND...(drumroll)...i loved it! i loved it so much with a spaghetti hamburger sauce it really shocked me. and i've had it several times since with salt and butter. YUM

march business
march -busy?? i guess...that is just the way it is. all the time.
this week, i worked extra shifts, made four aprons, had YW's, went to leth for singing lessons(not for me), and all the usual normal mom stuff!! i don't know why it's so busy, but it is.

Iron Chef 2
okay...iron chef year 2!! for young men's and young women's. it took a lot of prep work...and here is all the stuff i took to the church tonight...
at the church, we opened envelopes to find out our groups...then chose 4 numbers out of 24 for both the main courses, and the dessert. it worked better this year...last year it was a scramble and some teams grabbed all the good stuff.
for dessert, everyone had pudding...and whatever 4 ingredients they grabbed.
so my team put mashed potatoes, cheese and chicken inside the crescent dough. it was actually pretty good!!

the winning team had to use spaghetti squash, red cabbage, rice, and something else with their chicken. for dessert they had an apple/pear, ginger cookie mix and some other stuff with their pudding. SO IMPRESSED!!! their inventions totally cracked me up!!!1
here we have a japanese style dish. hahah. and blue koolaid pudding pie. teehee!
somehow a team came up with burritoes. they were not allowed to add any extras, and HAD to use all the odd ingredients they "chose"

ben's team got the WORST ingredients...they got water chestnuts, nacho cheese sauce, corn, and a tuna salad mix. hahahha...look what they invented! too good!

tessa's team...potatoes, alfredo sauce, chicken, and dont' forget the pickled onions...
the poor judges!!! the elder's quorum presidency, and bishop. good sports!!!!

watching the judging...

work...
i am REALLY enjoying my new responsibilites at work...i handle all new books...outgoing and incoming. i love that!!! i can help order new items too. our library has been crazy-busy lately! it is a nice, but somewhat busy place to work.
lately i have been in charge of updating THIS. anything new or different, i did. the front page has 3 new additions that i put up today. new book picks, new book additions, and some closing details. hey! it takes way longer than it looks!
anyhow, it is a huge learning process for me. but it's coming!

The Experts Say...
"They" say...in order to be happy, thin, pain-free, and balanced...
-get enough sleep. but not too much!
-reduce stress.
-get plenty of exercise.
-eat properly.
-practice meditation or deep breathing.
-practice religion.
-get the proper balance of vitamins/minerals.
-reduce stress.
-love yourself and everyone around you.
-enjoy your job.
-reduce stress!!
okay...any ideas on how to accomplish all of this? sometimes i think trying to DO all these things...only increases stress!! how can you fit everything into one day?
if anyone can enlighten me, that would be great...otherwise, i will keep doing the best i can...one day at a time.
