well, the big day came at last...COMICCON in Calgary!  Ben was a black mage.  i have no clue what it is...so here is a picture from the video game it came from.  

at the convention was the entire STAR TREK next generation cast.  i was jealous!!!!  but he didn't really see them, and to get an autograph from Patrick Stewart was 60.00.  and those boys were too cheap.  teehee!!!  

Also there, was Fred and George Weasley!  The old batman, the wraith-king Todd from Stargate...and other awesome characters.

what to do, what to do.
i am thinking that i will take a break from any back treatments.  i will probably wait for fall, and try lasers and maybe a couple more sets of shots.  for now, i don't see them making the hugest difference.  
however, it is hard to know.  what if i go for one more set...and it is the magic one?!!  my PT says, "no don't quit yet"  but who knows.  
to be truthful it is wearing me out mentally- just thinking about it all the time.  of course, it's hard not to.  
i will keep doing lots of pilates...i LOVE it.  i can't stop!!!  and maybe take preventative painkillers. 
i had someone say to me once "oh just go get a massage, you will be fine."  i neglected going over my whole medical history...but i think sometimes people think i use it as an excuse to get out of things.  really?  why would i.  i don't choose it.  anyhow, we shall see....

today when tess and i returned home from work we discovered that pete had run in to leth to buy this swing we had our eyes on for awhile.  we usually don't make fun purchases like this, so this was fun!!   and...he was making burgers for supper so that was also fun!

interesting things happening in the library lately.  i can't really go into detail.  tessa works there too- and we need to both remain positive about it all.  
anyhow, it is hard- going some days when morale is low, and you wonder why people act the way they do.
well- all that aside- my job over the next few months will once again be like a hobby...very few hours...so i just need to accept that and relax and GO WITH IT.

i attended a board (bored) all-day meeting which i don't normally do...and had to wear a tie to work for the first time ever.

i started Easter holidays.

i watched lots of Star Wars.

well my week started abruptly when i got an urgent email from Barack Obama. at first i was surprised, but then i realized that when it comes to joseph Kony, i had to rise to the occasion and organized a surprise attack. which Obama could not attend. Kony is now inprisoned and the world will naturally take credit for my accomplishments! Facebook didn't save the day, Obama and his top agent did.

i went to the moon.

this was a strange week with things happening that made me think a lot about rude people- forgiving- sticking up for myself- letting things go- not letting things go- hmmmmm

ate out at Boston Pizza with Bakers and Lawlors. fun to see everyone. disgusting food.

worked thursday nite with Tessa. Tessa is my favorite employee to work with.

had a star wars marathon- mostly with Ayden since we are the two usually home on friday nite.

finished an apron and started another. wow!

ate chocolate.

When life makes you have to put up with mean & hateful people, Think of them as sandpaper. They may scratch you & Rub you the wrong way... But eventually - YOU end up smooth & polished. The sandpaper - Is just going to be worn out & ugly.

iron chef #3

last night was our 3rd annual iron chef 3rd ward. and probably my personal last one to do...ever.

it's a fun activity. there is a bit of preparation, and honestly it makes for a pretty longish day...but the youth like it, and it's fun...so hopefully it's worth it!








our secret ingredients this time were...bacon for the main dish, and jello for the dessert....

so funny to see what they came up with.

i believe Ben's team made these special desserts. hahah

we had the RS pres. judge this time. they made great judges!!! they were perhaps a bit more picky than the men...and they wrote comments on their sheets...which we didn't have time to go over...dangit! they were great fun.
