BEFORE and AFTER

Here are some comparison pictures of our house about a year ago, and now.  

Last year, we wanted darker siding, but, uh, our contractor said no.

 This year...he said yes.  I geuss he just got in some new darker colors that he didn't have last time.  And even though it cost a lot more to go dark, he went for it.  

So what do you think?  Do you like the tan, from last year, or the darker brown?

It's the neices and nephews performing "I've been dreaming of a True Love's Kiss" at the family dinner for Daniel and Lynnae.  Everyone loved it!!!  We were missing Izzy (too shy) Annie (watching from front) Zander, Lincoln, and Conner.  What a good lookin group of kids!

Wedding!

We welcomed a new member into the Wright family friday...Lynnae...it was such a great day, wonderful wedding...fun meals, parties...everything was amazing.  Be sure to check out the clip of the nieces and nephews singing...how cute are they????  We are missing a few babies, but what can you do??????? 

My analysis of Breaking Dawn

Well, here it goes...for what it's worth.
Here is a book I was looking forward to nearly as much as every single Harry Potter book...well, probably not, I was REALLY excited about those ones. But I loved the first 3 Twilight books, and so wanted to continue on in the fun!!!

As I began reading, most things were expected...wedding, etc...until, uh, a pregnancy. Was NOT ever even thinking that way in the plot. I still dont' really know what the point of "Renesmee" (the worst name I could personally ever imagine)...is...if this is the last book, then the only reason for her that I could see was to pacify the whole Jacob situation...which turned out creepy anyhow.

So, I read along and enjoyed the book the whole way through...but the second I was done I thought "WHAAAAAAAAAT??????"
I didn't mind HOW Bella was turned, we all knew she had to be turned at some point...it wasn't as , uh, I geuss, romantic as it could have been...it was more just because well she was pretty much dead. Only other option at that point...not too exciting. And it turned out to be a strange reason...
After she was turned, she was FINE. Just FINE!!!! No strange desires to kill humans, no weird thoughts...in fact, she was amazing!!!! As if we would all be better off as immortal vampires!
THEN...Charlie had to find out what happened...and in the end he knew exactly what she was, but pretended to only want to know as much as they would tell him. Totally went AGAINST Charlie's character in my opinion...I'm glad he accepted her, but I really didn't think Charlie would have...that quickly.
WHY did Renesmee have to grow so quickly? And WHY WHY WHY did Jacob have to imprint on her??? I hated what happened to Jacob, always LIKED Jacob...
oh yeah...and the whole POINT of wherewolves was to be the arch enemy of vampires...was there ever a fight between the two creatures???? NOOOOOOOO...in fact, they're the best of pals.......UGH

BUT the WORST thing about this whole book....was NOTHING...there was NOTHING that happened in the end. All this build up and build up of special gifts and powers and getting ready to battle the volturi...and they all leave and say, "oops, nevermind"....I don't think so. That just did not work for me....I wanted a BIG fight...not just words, but fighting. Bella trained for fighting physically too...I wanted her to use it!!! I wanted a few dead vampires and many injured ones...it just didnt' make sense...all the build up...a very disappointing ending.

I didn't mind the book overall...but it was nothing compared to the first 3 books. I feel like Stephenie lost her vision along the way...and maybe never knew how she was going to end it...I dont' know.

Anyhow, that is my rant!!!! There you go Jenn!

Whitefish and our celestialized house...

Okay, so two parts to this post...first our trip to Whitefish. We probably go 2-3 times a year, so it's not really a big deal...but we always have fun at the cabin and surrounding area. There were more Wrights there this summer, so Pete and I pitched a tiny tent on the back deck and once I got over my claustrophobia, it was quite comfy!
We did some swimming...in the pool, and lake...we did LOTS of shopping. We picked up a dishwasher, lighting and lots of school stuff. Got some great deals! Man, things are cheap across the boarder...gas was cheaper...and food. Not to mention the clothes...You can get good deals up here, but it's just a better variety for the kiddies somewhere else.
We went and did the maze, go karts and bumper boats in Colombia Falls...it's always a hit...

We went to "Kiss Me Kate" in Bigfork...we always try to hit the summer theatre if we are there because the shows are so great! To me, it's a highlight...and I love the Bigfork area.
Anyhow, it was fun. I didn't really take many picctures....wasn't really into that this time...
And then last, is a picture of our "celestialized home"...it had to get sprayed to get any smoke smell out. It wasn't smelling very smoky before, but NOW there is no hint whatsoever of a smell...and it's off to a good start.
