trampoline...

oh. and finally got our trampoline sewn up.

this week around here

ahhh...the curse of working in a library.  piles of books at home...good intentions, and then only reading about 2 of these, and sending the rest back.  and then forgetting which ones you wanted to read!  UGH
let's see.  this week was interesting with vehicles.  our car is still awaiting a windshield.  yes, it is beat up to heck- but we are purchasing that back from insurance and keeping a third vehicle.  the car had an unfortunate meeting with a deer monday night...very happy Ben and his friends were not injured.
Kalispell:  can be fun.  this time it just wasn't.  we had borrowed g-pa Baker's new vehicle...and it was so nice of him to lend it to us.  we even got to listen to Abba and the Carpenters on the way down!  good times.  day 1 was fun.  dinner and a movie (paramorman).
day 2?  car died going from Whitefish to Kalispell.  called g-pa Wright and he and Ryan came and helped.  we bought a new battery and it seemed to help.  for awhile.  then it died again in Kalispell.  and we were stuck.  thank goodness Ryan was there to give us a ride back (car was towed) and thank goodness g-pa Wright was there to taxi us around the next day.
the next day- day 3- got taxi'd in by g-pa to "pick up our car" which turned out to not be done...so we shopped a bit and went back to Whitefish...and then back to Kalispell.  what a mess.  it required a new alternator.  anyhow, that was our "fun" for the week.  grouchy people and bad vehicles.

none of my squashes or zucchinis or anything like that worked this year.  even before the hail.  so sad!!!!!

can't believe how busy things are starting to get and feel now that school is 8 days off.  whew.

Sacro Wedgy

weird name i know.  it is the latest in my trials for my back.  could it all boil down to the sacrum?  no clue yet- but there is a TON of interesting info to read about it.

i believe it has something to do with sacrum, psoas, hips, SI joints.  one thing relates to the next.  it is sooooo DANG TRICKY...

it continues to be something i think about every minute of every day.  i am sick of it ruling my life, but how can it not?  i almost wish i had something broken...something that could heal.  and that would be the end of it.  a sprain in a ligament that cannot heal- well what can you do with that?  it is hard to imagine feeling that for the rest of my life.  i have to plan painkillers around everything.  and i'm in a panic trying to decide how to prepare for our trip.

oh well, i have to type it out sometimes to keep myself from whining to people.

torture #9...oooch

i have decided to have a couple more prolotherapy sessions.  if things aren't better after september's then we will visit other options.  there are some other injections he was talking about today. something scary sounding involving nerve blockage.  hmmmmm...we shall see.  i am scared to death for our trip in november...i just don't have the stamina to make it day after day at disney parks.  hopefully it will be okay by then....

other things?  we are getting a payout for our van write-off, buying it back at 10%- fixing windshield plus wiper and keeping it for a 3rd vehicle.  which means we are also vehicle shopping.  SIGH

the olympics are done (yay)...the closing ceremonies were brutal.  yikes!!!  now we have started a corner gas marathon.

our house insurance came this week too, so that is on the move.  we will not get ALL new siding...just on 2 sides of the house.  it is new enough, that they can match the colour still.  so that's good.  i think.

this week will bring a few waterton activities, so yay finally something to do.  it has been kinda boring, cause we haven't been able to drive very far.  everyone all crammed in the car with no AC and all the hot weather lately = not fun.

and that's about it!

different perspectives...

-i am realizing that i have a different perspective than others.  about the hail.  not saying i'm right, or wrong, or smarter or better.  just different.

-i think maybe because of our house fire, i don't feel overly distraught about the hail damage.  lots of others seem to.  it is a pain, it is inconvenient- and i may be cursing it more in the future as i realize how long it's going to take...but i have not felt hard done-by.

-i have heard people angry at the heavens.  okay.  but people have terrible things happen to them all the time.  our fire was much much worse- because it burned many personal items, destroyed a brand new home that we worked very hard on, and put us out on the street.  totally different story.  maybe that is why in comparison - to me- this is no big deal.  at least not yet.

-i have heard things like this "i am so blessed because my car was here or there and it didn't get any hail!!!"  okay.  so now you're blessed and i am not?  i don't' think so!!!  maybe it's true.  who knows.  but i disagree with those comments.  were we more blessed than Japanese people because we didn't get a huge tsunami?  i don't think so.  i don't believe Heavenly Father works that way.

-i have heard people say that there is "a reason" for the destruction...or maybe we're not living right.  i hadn't thought this before- but what did people like that think when we had our fire?  that we needed to change something?  that we were sinners?  i don't quite follow that line of thinking.  all righteous prophets in scripture have had major testing and trials and who knows how many small problems.  EVERYONE has something.  and there are much much worse things than having to redo the outside of your house.

-however that being said- if there IS a lesson for the Wrights to learn...i hope we will learn it this time.  i'm not up for another natural disaster in the future!!!
