Wow we had a busy week!
The week ended with Ayden's
baptism...a great way to end!
Looking so cute in his little white polyester jumpsuit!  hehe

Ayden was a little nervous, but excited too!We had two really good talks given by the grandmas, and lots of relatives came to support Ayden.  What a great day!  Wow, I can't believe this is my baby...how did this come around so fast?

Spot the deer...

We went to Waterton yesterday...what a beautiful day it was!  Probably one of the last really warm ones this season.  In Waterton you see a lot of deer.  One or two loping around here and there.  But you NEVER see a whole deer family.  Well, we saw a whole family.  Mom, dad, twins...and geuss where they were sitting?  Right outside of the LDS church.  haah!  We had a good laugh over that one...

Tessa was getting out of the van, when this deer ran right at her!  It looked like it wanted to hop in!  She shut the door very quickly and banged on the window to try to get rid of it.  Pete had to go in the other side and piggy back her out to the lake.

ahhh...the cool mountain water...

Can Anybody Name This Disorder?

Let me explain.  I get obsessed about things.  Making things.  I sit and make a whole bunch of something for a few days, and then I'm done.  I don't want to make them again.   I  move on to something else.
These things I make...I ENJOY making them.  It is like a stress reliever to make things ...for me.  It's not like my kids come up to me and ask me to make these things, and after they're made I have no clue what to do with them.
So, you might think it's a huge waste of time...but I love it!
Right after our house fire, I made sock monkeys.  Not one or two, but many...I got a book with directions, and went to town.  Now, I have a cute little basket of sock creatures, and no clue what to do with them...here they sit.  Anyone want some?
Before the fire, I had made some ragdolls that I saw on Martha Stewart one day.  They got wrecked in the fire, so a couple weeks ago, I made 8 more...in about 24 hours.  I dont' say this to brag, because I really feel like there is something wrong here!
My husband looks at me a bit strangely sitting on the couch sewing socks into sock monsters...but doesn't say too much.
I suppose it's okay to have stress release such as this, but why can't I be obsessive about cleaning the house for stress release??  That would be nice!!!!
Anyhow, it's what I do...and here are some samples of this strange occurance.

Ayden made these 3
monsters all by
himself...what have
I started?'

From Rebel to Cougar

Who would have ever even IMAGINED that I would live in Cardston someday?  Not me.  Not me when I was riding the bus to Cardston to play volleyball or basketball.  Not me when we were playing and the Cardston girls were SO rude to us ... (could it have worked both ways? hmmm)
I enjoyed being a trojan, and then a rebel.
So, does the fact that I live in Cardston NOW make me a cougar?  Yes, I have decided it does.  First, you get to know the kids that make up the teams and you want to support them...and next and most importantly, my 3 kiddos are little cougars!!!!
And every time it's "pride" day, I'm enjoying blue and white more and more!
Cougar Pride!

PS...sure beats being a Comet.

Back to School!!!

How can it be, that we are back to school
already??  It just doesn't seem possible.
I really wish we could just freeze time here...
I hate how fast it goes, and I want my kids to
stay the ages they're at!  But, it's also fun to watch
them grow.
So Ayden is in grade 3 this year, Tessa queen
of elementary in grade 6, and Ben in grade 8.
Grade 8?  I remember grade 8 so clearly!
I remember being SOOO excited for the
first day of school!  Apparantly my kids are
the same, because it was like Christmas
morning around here last night and this morning.
Sheesh!

Have fun in school kiddies!!
