strange FB convo
here is a conversation i had on facebook yesterday. i started with the question. it made me laugh!
Why does every male lead character in every book have "stormy grey eyes". And exactly what ARE stormy grey eyes anyways!!!??
- Louise Selk, Brynley Paterson, Barbara Pilling Salmon and 3 others like this.
- Cindy Baker Wright And then girls always have billowing locks of curly blond hair...and eyes as pale as the ocean. Gag...sick of this crap!
- Cindy Baker Wright Hahah...just started another one today, but i think I will quit and go for something less stupid
- Tom Baker Stormy is the boiling of emotion in his soul and gray is black and white so good and bad, a tortured soul for the women to tame and conquer.
- Annalee Lawes Wow Tom! That was very insightful. I'm truly impressed. Out of curiosity, what color are your eyes?
- Tom Baker No, Sarah won't let me read those, ha ha. Come on you all go for the bad boys, luckily you all married good ones with a touch of tortured, right?
- Cindy Baker Wright I'd like to know the interpretation of brown eyes actually. They are almost never used in books. Eyes are stormy grey, blue as the ocean, or green. I can't even think of the regular description for green.
- Annalee Lawes I definitely married a bad boy. You have no idea.
I I think his eyes would be described as sea foam green. Lol - Tom Baker Steely blue or gray and emerald green, like vespa of James Bond fame, brown is boring so no main fictional character had them
- Cindy Baker Wright Emerald green...there you go. How many people really have emerald green eyes. I have two sons with green eyes, but I wouldn't describe them as emeralds.
- Tom Baker I took a screen writing class in college and adjectives are used to convey a feeling or paint a scene or person, but books have paragraphs to do it.
- Tom Baker That's the hard thing about writing, do you come up with a new one that readers may not get or stick to the tried and true?
- Cindy Baker Wright I guess that is true. Maybe I just need to read a different genre for awhile. Back to end of the world/apocalypse/robots for awhile.
- Tom Baker Well now we know that sea foam green eyes mean a bad boy that we don't even know that was tamed by a strong and beautiful woman
- Cindy Baker Wright i can't remember the title now...i'm taking it back. it's one of those cheesy, but sometimes delightful lds-pride and prejudice books.
