Ethan Webster got home last week.
Tessa got home from Vietnam! WOOOOOO!!! we were super happy to have her back safe and sound and fairly healthy too! luckily she had no aches and pains- and only a small cold while she was gone. well- and she barfed a couple times. lots of motion sickness, and some bad food. i would love for her to get on this blog and write about it. and there are pics coming- i hope. she has to get them loaded and then give permission.
but there are a few Ayden gave me from instagram.
basically, she had an amazing time. she saw lots. she learned lots. i believe it was life changing to some degree. i am so happy that she was able to see that side of the world. so glad for her!!
it snowed a couple days ago. or was it yesterday? yay
the digital zone!!!!!!
just taco-pocket night. is there any other way to eat them anymore? NO
great pic of Elder Wright and Elder Foster.
we were blessed to hear from the muppet choir today (aka 3rd ward choir) ...we even heard kermit and miss piggy quite loudly. we actually got the giggles which was not so good, but you take entertainment where you can get it sometimes!
my primary class was atrocious. people think they know who the troublemakers are- but guess what, it is the kids nobody knows about who can actually be the biggest problem. i got quite frustrated with them- maybe the most mean i have been yet. one girl told me after that i need to be more strict. basically i feel like quitting. i like the kids- i really do. it is too much for me to sit for 3 hours. i am trying to get the primary to work with me...i don't know why it's so hard. i turn around and there are 5 adults sitting on the back bench and i wonder every week- if they knew how the rest of my day was now going to go- would they offer to come sit with my class so i can leave? i dont' know.
we watched "Interstellar". Ayden and I liked it. it made me think. and so that is good- as long as i don't then OVERthink.
when Tessa was gone, three of us went out to eat with gma and gpa wright- and Annie and Rob's family. it was nice to get out and see them. we don't do nearly enough one-on-one with that big family.
i dread wednesday night. why? visiting teaching. 3 people- 3 plus hours. i dread it. at the end of a long day, it is so brutal sitting there for 3 hours. i really can't do it- but i don't quite know how to get out of the situation. my current partner is pretty determined on when we go and how we arrange it. i suggested shorter times, but she wouldnt' have it.
Peter is at a Moroni's Quest meeting right now for next summer. i hope he gets to go. i am so excited that Ayden gets to go! it is something that changes your life. i think about it all the time- it has given me so much strength. i will never forget those 3 days.
we are also feeding the missionaries this week- have futsal, and some other stuff. seems every evening is full. each day. i don't know why we are so busy. shouldn't life be slowing down a bit? at least the weather is looking nice, so that is good.
it sure seems to be a struggle for people to talk about anythink else but themselves. i am constantly suprised at this. i guess it teaches me what not to do. i know people who never ask me a thing. ever. they just talk about themselves. i think that is most people actually- but how can you have a one-sided friendship? you can't. like i said though, hopefully i am learning from it. i am not sure why it bugs me so much. but i find it so rare- to have an equal conversation with someone.
work seems to be such a drag lately- i am not sure why. i just think we need a little vacation that's all.
WOW- we are down to 5 months left for Ben. how is this possible!!!! HOW!!!!!?????? i am in shock. i never thought i would see this point! i have such excitement but apprehension as well. i hope Ben can adjust and figure out what to do next- and still stay his normal happy self. we find ourselves saying things now like "well, we will just save this for a few months till Ben gets home" i do feel badly for HIM. how hard to end such great experiences. i know he will have more to come in the future- i just hope he knows that too.
....and...i am not going to write a single thing about pain this time. so THERE
