Tessa played 3 games last night...2 in the light, and 1 in the dark. it was a fun night and she played great! she scored a goal too!

Ayden and I bundled up waiting for her 10:00 pm game to start...BRRRR it was FREEZING!!!!!

cardston kid's marathon #3

This is a great event. they log miles right up until today...where they all run the final mile together...then they meet at the Remington center and have a big party! this year they supplied lunch and a live band. so fun!

5k and youth days

yesterday was a busy one. it started with Pete, Ayd and Tessa running the 5k. bright and early! they did awesome. Ayden got 4th place in his age group, Tessa got third for 13-15 year olds...and Pete got third for his old-man age group.

then we had youth days. the kids played 5 games. if you're wondering why Ayden is there, it is because the younger group is REALLY short on deacons...so they brought up some younger boys...10 and 11 year olds to help. and boy did they help!!! it was a fun day.

prolotherapAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

so i just got back from my first prolotherapy session. i have only one word. actually two, but one is bad so i can't type it here. i will just say OUCH...holy smokes that was brutal. and now i just hurt like crazy. he said i would be sore tomorow and the next day. but he forgot to mention TODAY, so i am nervous about tomorow and next day.

basically...he jabbed a needle into the SI joint region and low back region and hip region multiple times. he injects a sugar solution. it causes a reinjury to your body. and your body has inflammation and produces collagen which builds up the loose (sprained ) ligaments. thus hopefully over a number of monthly treatments...stabalizing the pelvis and ridding the body of pain. hopefully!

next time is in 3 weeks...and i actually dread it right now. might need some drugs, as i think i almost passed out today.

let's see, what else is going on. two kids are doing baptisms for the dead today. that makes me so happy!!!! i am so proud to have good kids. what they are doing is so important...i hope they know it! i am sure they do.

Ayden recieved a certificate for doing a fiboacci math test today. they are HARD...i would not want to do it.

Pete is still coaching soccer but it is a bit frustrating because they've had to have it indoors a lot lately. thank you mother nature! sheesh.

School is out for Ben...next week for the other two.

...and let me just add that i feel so lucky to know such wonderful girls. i had one friend that brought me over some magazines and chocolate...and another that brought me over some yummy treats (including chocolate) love them!!!

something BAD something NEW

I am TERRIBLE when it comes to waving to other drivers when I am driving. Just ask my kids, they always say "mom! why didn't you wave at so and so!!!" and i say "huh? I didn't see so and so!!"

I dont' know what it is. MAYBE it is that I am such a good and focussed driver that I can't look over that long to check it out. ha!

MAYBE I am REALLY unobservant.

But whatever the reason, I hope I haven't "snubbed" anyone. Because I really don't mean to!
Something NEW...a new laptop. My old laptop is the most frustrating machine!!! This one will give me the storage i need and man is it FAST!!! yay!!!!

and PS...i can't understand ANYONE who doesn't use a mac. i don't get it!!!!!!!!!!

Ayden won third place in the 800m in track and field, so he go to go in divisionals today. He wasn't sure he liked the Raymond kids. haha...wonder where he got THAT from.

STILL AT IT

rainy days...

man, it's been raining a lot lately! a few nice sunny days...but mostly rain. we have yet to play in sunshine on the new soccer fields...and i am hoping for sun so my little garden will grow.

so....today we went inside when it rained...and out when it was sunny. the weather's mood swings are crazy.

questions...

i love asking questions...here are my questions of the day...

-how can it be HOT one day, and SO COLD the next...

-why can't men figure out coin-opperated grocery carts...

-why can't i have a few extra hours in the afternoon...

-why do women create drama...at any age...

-why hasn't pete taken cooking lessons...

-why did i end up with the three coolest kids ever...

-why do we go through 12 towels per day...

-why can't there be a legit energy pill...

-why does there have to be opposition in all things.

...and everyone helped!! it is larger than it looks from this angle. can't wait!
i am thinking it has been 5 or 6 years since we last had a garden...and i love gardens, so this was a long time coming for me! can't wait to walk out in my back yard and pick a salad!
