SUMMER

summer consists of-
mosquitoes
unbearable heat
lack of sleep
allergies
work.

oh joy!!!!

pete is working on a project with ALL his time OFF!  (lucky)  i often wonder what it would be like to have a job where you can get time off with pay.  sigh...
anyhow, he has sanded down all the horrible cabinet doors.  i like the cupboards without doors, it makes life easier.  AND it has motivated me to clean everything out. so yay!

 the garden is coming...

hopefully this does NOT happen.  but it will.
and this happens every day.  oh the tissues we have gone through!!!
  a well-deserved rest.
i try and i try..but she is not crazy about me following her around taking shots with my ipad.

peanut butter coconut cookies

1/4 c coconut oil
1 c unsweetened coconut flakes
1.5 c almond butter- or other
1/2 c sugar.  NOT.  i use honey, and MAYBE 1/4 c at most.
1/4 coconut sugar.  i do use this...a bit less though.
2 eggs
2 tbsp brown rice flour...or coconut flour.
1/4 tsp sea salt
some dark choc or choc chips.

(toast coconut on stove in the coconut oil)

325 degrees or 10-15 mins.  oh my YUMMINESS

oils update

i love me some essential oils!!
i know not everyone believes in them.  not everyone believes the book of mormon is true either.  now, i'm not equating essential oils with the book of mormon- not really.  but saying the b of m isn't true when you haven't read it....is EXACTLY like saying the essential oils don't work when you've never ever TRIED them.
so there.

if a person finds something that works for them, and is good for them...it is good for people around them to support them.  show some interest.  accept them.
so there.

back update

it's been awhile, with all the other health-drama this year.  my update is : not much.
-i'm still seeing the NUCCA chriro in Leth, and am feeling better overall.
-my left SI joint is still floppy and sprained.  the right one got better via prolotherapy.  it's true.  it did.  now i'm wondering, do i go back for more on the left one?  the chiro wants to do shockwave on me.  okay.  only he charges 1500 extra.  ????!!!!!  it makes me insanely furious every time i go there.  it takes about 2 minutes and he has the machine- so why not just help people if you can??  it is ridiculous that something that takes 2 minutes would EVER cost 150.00 per time.   honestly.  i could tear a strip off this guy!  i keep my mouth shut.  he has told me it has to be done, or i won't be "fixed".  i get it...and i believe him- because i know how this SI joint affects me.  so if i go get it fixed via prolo, which is way way WAY cheaper- will he be upset?  kick me out?  i have no clue.  i don't have to tell him i suppose.
these are my thoughts- just wondering what to do next.  realizing i need to keep trying all the time.  just not sure what to do- and if i can justify spending any more $$ on myself.

summer games 2014

last weekend we attended summer games in Pincher Creek.  2 days of play.  4 games.  Ayden was on the U14 team.  it was a really fun time.  Their first game they had to play the massive Leth team.  they lost, but not by much.  i think Leth was suprised at how well Cardston did.  then they beat Pincher.  on saturday they played Leth county and won with a shootout!  Ayden scored one of the shoot-out goals!  oh yeah, he also scored a goal against pincher the day before.  it was sweet.  so they ended up in the final against Leth again.  by half-time it was tied 2-2.  cardston was doing well and it was amazing!!  they ended up losing 3-2 but they played well.  well, they would have played better if ayden had been put in a position he should have been in- (found out i am not the best sports mom)

wow, who knew- a very scenic drive!
you can see that the Leth players (below) are rather larger than Cardston.  they were probably all 14 years old.  our team had some 12 year olds on it.
