Kid's Marathon
Let's start with a picture of Tessa with her math award. She got 8th place overall for that....and then today in the kid's marathon, she got.....8th place!!! Lucky number 8 for her! It actually didn't really matter since they let grade 6 go first...they sort of had the advantage.

This and that
AHHH...living the good life

Today Ayden and his dad went fishing with the cubs...Ayden was the only guy to catch a fish! He was so excited to show his picture to his grandpa Baker, who he knows likes to fish. I love Chief Mountain in the background.

oh, and a word to the wise...if you are trying to open a can of cocoa to bake brownies, and you notice that the foil on the top is all hard and bloated...do not just go ahead and rip it off!!!!

New part....
As we all know, last year Ben played Augustus Gloop in the junior high play of "willy wonka"...in which I was forced to make a "fat" costume. He was a "big" character who thought, talked, and sang about food....
He has just been cast for next year's play of "mulan" as Chien Po...a big guy who thinks, talks, and sings about food. I am definately sensing a theme here. and another fat suit...are you kidding???

Wednesday
In young women's the other day we talked about blogging and how it is a form of journaling/scrapbooking. I plan to print mine out soon...so I decided that I have to include some ultra-boring details about my days sometimes.
Today I...
-made it out of bed...barely
-got the kiddies up, checked the weather
-tubbed
-school lunches/breakfast
-got ready for work
-went to work, whined about my sore back
-spilled on my white t-shirt, ran home to change
-found Peter at home with a migraine
-went back to work
-complained some more (OUCH it hurt today)
-ran to the elementary after work for an award ceremony for Tessa's math marks...great job Tess!
-went to get the mail
-came home, tidied up
-layed on floor, took another painkiller
-talked to kiddies
-defrosted chicken and made tinfoil dinners
-fried some hamburger for freezer (wow I was good today)
-started a new book (2 actually)
-whined to Peter
-supper
-took kids swimming
-picked up 2 kids, rented movies
-picked up other kid
-prayers
-sent kids to bed
-circuit training 40 minutes
-blogging
-tried to call a friend...not home.

at it again
This morning when I woke up, i just KNEW that I had to make something today. It was like a craving that I had to satisfy! I don't know what it was.
But I've always liked "ugly dolls"...a LOT. I want to collect them...but they are pricey. SO, I opened my laptop and tried to copy a few of them. I wish I had had better colors of fleece, but oh well. Making these while listening to disneyland theme-park music on itunes, made for a happy afternoon!
Tessa chose the yellow design, and decorated it herself. Ayden DREW his own pattern and then designed the face himself. it was funny...and fun!
