ECLIPSE

Finally saw it! Sadly, it was in town and therefore kind of a low-rate experience. oh well.
Liked : the action and fighting scenes
Jasper
the werewolves (in animal form)
the Cullens
the music!
the newborns
Disliked : where the heck was the volturi!? the 4 reps just didn't cut it for me.
unexplained plots (for those who didn't read the books)
cheesiness
Jacob's facial stubble
since when do the vampires crumble into cement!?
the let down leading into book 4 (which i hate)
still, it was entertaining!!!

progress, and a wound

Ayden learned a valuable lesson this week from the "pocketknife 101" manual.
ALWAYS watch where your pinky is when you're slamming the pocket knife shut. OUCH.
It was kind of surprising that Pete and i were both home when it happened...and then pete took him to the ER where he spent an hour and a half.
The nurses thought he'd need stitches, but by the time the doc finished his dinner and meandered over he decided just to glue it.
It didn't stay glued long, but finally is starting to heal. ugh!!! Thanks Maria for mentioning "newskin"...it has helped a lot!

well, we've made fabulous progress on our yard lately. WE. hahahahahaha. I mean to say PETE has. true, I have planted a few flowers...woopee. Pete has been busy as a bee out there. the dirt is finally levelled...next step. SOD. just after our trip. yay!!!!
Ayden's mad photography skills.
Tessa...who had to have flowers planted right by her window.
We are really lucky with the size of our yard!

Pete's dream would be to OWN this...

Girl's Camp

WHEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Hanging out by our water-logged campfire. I think I built this one...
Really, a pretty area...wet, but pretty

All of us 3rd ward'ers at the end of camp...looking oh so cute!!! Our camp spot that we were assigned was in a mud bog. Not too fun in that way!!!
And just up to the left here on the trail is where Tessa and I saw a bear. I can hardly talk about it or type about it without freaking out all over again!!!
The view from Table Mountain. Tessa got to the very top! AWESOME!
Tessa killin the rock wall! YEAH!!!

And here is the back of my head. wow, I must say my hair was extra special...and I never took the hankerchief off once. NICE

Random stake-camp games...
Tessa with some bulls-eyes! WOOT! I also got 2 bulls-eyes. yehaw!

And then the tram! Wow, she did a lot of fabulous activities in a few days!
one of our few moments NOT doing a planned activity. Our ward color was red, so Canadian flags became a great deco option.
Canoeing...

The END of soccer....

Soccer was GREAT this year!!! Pete coached Tessa's junior High team, and they were awesome! Ayden's team was also great, and they improved so much! If only the weather had cooperated more often...

kids marathon 2010

I LOVE this event! seeing all the elementary kids, lots of adults, and now many from other towns flocking down the street in white is so cool! I want to do it next year. It is a goal!
