the adventures of peter...
check out what Pete is doing in April. through much yearning (on his part) and little understanding (on my part) we have finally come to a place where we are both looking forward to THIS...
this is exciting stuff! i'm glad he's taking the chance to go! plus, now i have one-up on him...for MY trip. whatever that might be.

Sometimes, even when we are doing our best to follow Christ’s example, we will run into obstacles that can bring frustration, disappointment, and even despair. Many of the things that weigh us down in our lives are not the result of sin. For example, the death or illness of loved ones, stress at work, or the difficulty of raising a family can bring challenges and heartache. Jesus Christ said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). As soon as we are willing to turn to Him, we will feel His love. This is another benefit of continuous Christianity—the closer we come to Jesus Christ, the more we will realize that God is aware of us in our joy and in our sadness. We can take comfort in the fact that God has a plan of happiness for us. With Christ’s help we can happily fulfill that plan and return to live with our Father in Heaven. This gives us a broader perspective and helps us face life’s challenges.

what i know...
i don't know much, that's for sure...but in the last year and three months, i have learned a few things. it has taken awhile, lots of frustration, tears, trials...anyhow for now, here is my list.
MY BACK
good)
-ttapp
-stretching
-skin rolling
-ultrasound
-TENS
-massage
-heat
bad)
-weight training and other things like p90x (this makes me very sad)
-yoga
-long walks
-over stretching
-sitting too long, standing too long
-stress
what i know i have mainly discovered on my own, and through trial and error. i have learned a lot. most health professionals aren't all that...well...helpful.
i know i have tight fascia. i know i have trigger points. i know i have chronically tight and spasmed muscles. these 3 things, all together...just go around and around in a vicious cycle. one makes the next worse, and so on.
skin rolling has really seemed to help...if you don't know what it is, i suggest everyone look into it!! peter does it on my back every night. that's right, every night. it's painful...but it really helps. why the fascia is never mentioned or treated...is beyond me.
anyhow, i am on the right track. still frustrated!!!! but at least i know a few things...

William Joseph!!!
Wow, back in november when I heard William J was coming to town i thought "yay!" then when i saw that tickets were 36.00 i thought...BOOO. but it didn't take me long to decide it would be a fun Christmas present! i went for it. and last night i think we were all glad i went for it!!! it was an amazing concert. we were SO lucky to get him in town. there is no way someone of that calibre would make a stop here...but he has been here a couple times before and really really likes it here! (does he know something we don't? hehe)
