beginning of august

We received such a nice email from a ward member of Bens this week (along with these 2 pics) :
" thought you would like to see a photo of your wonderful sons. They helped us with some work in our garden today before joining us for a meal. They are such special missionaries and we appreciate their love and service. They always have a smile on their faces and are great examples to everyone they meet.
My husband, Jim, has also taken some photos and will send them to you. I hope you enjoy seeing them at work!

Very best wishes,

Sharon 😉
Your son is a treasure! We are so pleased to have him back in our little branch. Even though he's near the end of his mission he has stayed totally focused on the work and maintained his enthusiasm which is wonderful. You must be very proud of him. Our youngest daughter is serving a mission in Virginia at the moment. Enjoy your day.

Hi Cindy, I don't think you need worry about him readjusting to home again. He seems very grounded and I think his mission will have helped him to secure his foundation in the gospel and set his sights on eternal perspectives. He's a lovely young man and a credit to you. He certainly enjoys his food! "

(eek on the last statement there)
So great- the messages just made my day so much!!!

We've also been busy painting.  (by we I mean Pete).  First- he did the grey in the kitchen which i've been bugging him about for a year now.  It's great.  I love it- just have a few things to add to it to really make it pop.
The kids did their bathroom this great green.  Love it.
Then- Pete did the upstairs bathroom.  No pic yet- but it is a brick red color.  Just need a new light fixture in there now to brighten it up.  I really love it.

Tessa and Pete went on a hike with the Wrights this week.  Bertha I think??

Things coming up-
Tomorrow night we are going to Mary Poppins in town.  The play- I'm excited.  I saw a taste of in at a library program we had- great characters.
I believe Ayden is getting his braces off this week.
I work a lot the next 2 weeks so that I can have Whitefish week off.  Whitefish week is in 2 weeks.  Right after that- Ben will be back.  EEEK!!!  crazy!!
Tessa is trying to figure out a few things.  She wants to get into nursing for next fall.  There will be SOME classes she can take this year at the U of L and transfer- she has to go meet with someone to figure that out.  Then she has to find a place to live- and a job.  It's causing a bit of stress- but I know it will all work out.  Fun times ahead for her!
